Frenzy in Bournemouth has really established itself over the last two years as one of the UK’s best smaller hard house events and in May Andy Whitby is starring.
He’ll be playing a two hour set, which in this day and age is quite a rarity from a hard house DJ as most events seem to cram as many headliners as possible onto a line-up, each having an hour.
Andy Whitby has played for a Frenzy a couple of times before but this will be his first outing at Dusk Till Dawn. I’m really looking forward to seeing him there as Dusk has a funktion one sound system and is a really great venue for hard dance.
Back to Andy Whitby though… the guy is certainly one of the biggest stars in hard dance at the moment and certainly seems to divide opinion. One thing you can’t take away from him though is his enthusiasm for the scene as his approach to making the genre fun. There’s an interview with Andy Whitby before he played for Frenzt at the Old Firestation in Bournemouth last year.
It’s worth checking out on Friday May the 23rd and you can find out more about Frenzy on the website at www.frenzyclub.co.uk.
